Description/Purpose:

Human Technopole is looking for sponsors to contribute to the “1^st Human Technopole PhD Retreat” that will take place in Mantello (SO) at La Fiorida Agri-relais in Lombardy, Italy.

Human Technopole is a young research institute founded with the mission to improve human health and well-being through cutting-edge and innovative research. In the last several years it has attracted around 500 researchers from all over the world. Among them are over 80 PhD Students, spread across diverse research areas including Genomics, Neurobiology, Structural Biology, Healthcare Data Science, and Computational Biology.

This retreat is designed to strengthen the PhD community at HT, fostering the scientific dialogue across research fields. The HT PhD Retreat is also designed to support the development of critical translational skills required by modern research, such as the design and delivery of a successful research project, and the mastering of soft skills for personal and professional growth.

The event will be a two-day immersive experience featuring:

• The HT CoLab: An interdisciplinary scientific planning session where students with wet-lab and dry-lab backgrounds will work together in heterogeneous teams. Each team will design and pitch a novel research project with the aim of answering a complex biological question, fostering “outside-thebox” thinking and collaboration.
• Mental Strength & Career Development Workshops: Two distinct workshops which will focus respectively on (1) how to thrive in academia while navigating its many challenges; (2) how to develop self-awareness for future-career orientation after the PhD.

The Retreat is entirely organized by the HT PhD students with the support of the Scientific Training Office. By providing your sponsorship, you will support the personal and professional growth of the next generation of life scientists while demonstrating your concrete interest for researchers’ well-being and career development. Furthermore, you will gain visibility among a highly-skilled audience of bioinformatics and experimental researchers, associating your brand with scientific excellence. Your sponsorship will foster collaboration among the young researchers of Human Technopole and promote the creation of an interdisciplinary and supportive environment for their academic growth.

Sponsor’s requirements:

The Sponsors shall:

• Share HT’s vision of contributing to improving human health and wellbeing;
• Not be under proceedings linked to financial difficulties (e.g., insolvency/bankruptcy proceeding);
• Accept the placement of their logo together with other logos (co-sponsorships);
• Meet the general requirements set out in Article 94 of Italian Legislative Decree 36/2023;
• In a later stage of the procedure, fill-in and sign the declarations pursuant to articles 94-98 of Legislative Decree no. 36/2023 (please see the template “Modulo 36 2023.pdf” attached for your information).
