Translating scientific breakthroughs into therapies is a complex path that requires many steps and close collaboration between scientists and clinicians, and between academia and industry. Modern biology is transforming our understanding of human physiology and disease. The second edition of the “Future Trends in Translational Medicine” conference will convene world-class experts to explore translational opportunities and challenges in four key complementary areas of medical research: metabolism, cancer, rare genetic disorders, and gene therapy & RNA therapeutics. The event is a follow-up to the first highly successful conference held in Milan in 2023.

Each topic will be the focus of a dedicated panel, where leading figures from science and industry will present their latest work at the intersection of fundamental research and clinical innovation. Two keynote lectures at the beginning of each day will take a broader look at the challenges of translational medicine and highlight crosslinks between the topics of the following panels. By gathering representatives from academia, industry, finance, institutions, and society, the conference also aims to explore trends in research investment and provide insights for policymakers and potential industrial partners.
