The process of technology transfer in the Life Sciences aims to advance early scientific inventions and discoveries to the next generation of diagnostics, therapies, services, and enterprises. Academia produces a large amount of highly valuable discoveries and inventions that, regrettably, do not always translate into therapies and products beneficial for society. The journey from academic research to patients requires competencies, know-how, and access to considerable scientific, human, and economic resources.
This training course will explore essential aspects of technology transfer, from intellectual property protection to business development, licensing, and startup creation through expert insights, case studies, and discussions.
This course is organised by the HT Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer, in collaboration with Netval, the Italian Network for Research Valorization, and IUSS Pavia.
This event serves as a teaser for a more comprehensive course on technology transfer, scheduled for November 2025. Stay tuned—more details coming soon!
