Recent developments in AI and machine learning are producing powerful tools that are opening new frontiers across all sectors of society. Academia is particularly active in developing software, AI and machine learning models, and databanks. Protecting and valorising these assets is increasingly complex and goes beyond the traditional models of patenting and licensing.
