Alessandra Pirola

After receiving her degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Milan, Alessandra joined the Laboratory of Molecular Oncology at the University of Milano-Bicocca as a Research Assistant, where she contributed to research projects focused on hematological and oncological diseases.
During this time, she had the opportunity to acquire experience in molecular and cellular biology and she began working with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies, becoming responsible for library preparation and sequencing on Illumina platforms.
In 2015, Alessandra co-founded Galseq srl, a private start-up offering NGS services to the scientific community. As Lab Manager, she coordinated wet lab activities and provided support to researchers on their projects.
In 2024, Alessandra joined Human Technopole, where she currently works as a Senior Technician for the National Facility for Genomics.
