Linda Repetto
- Genetic Epidemiologist, Zuccolo Group
Dr. Linda Repetto is a postdoctoral researcher in the Zuccolo lab at Human Technopole, focusing on the genetic and proteomic signatures of menopause and female reproductive health traits. They completed their PhD at the Usher Institute, University of Edinburgh, under the supervision of Prof. Xia Shen (University of Edinburgh, Karolinska Institutet, Fudan University), Dr. Pau Navarro (University of Edinburgh), and Prof. Jim Wilson (University of Edinburgh). Their doctoral research focussed on genetics and proteomics, leveraging population-wide data to advance understanding of psychiatric and mental health conditions.
Previously, they completed their undergraduate studies at University College Maastricht, investigating EEG signals in the attention-behavior gap in adolescents, and earned an MSc by Research in Integrative Neuroscience at the University of Edinburgh, studying neurodegenerative dementias. Before starting their PhD, they worked as a research assistant in the Nicodemus Lab, studying neuroeconomic games and psychiatric conditions.

The genetic landscape of neuro-related proteins in human plasma
Understanding the genetic basis of neuro-related proteins is essential for dissecting the molecular basis of human behavioural traits and the disease aetiology of neuropsychiatric disorders. Here the SCALLOP Consortium conducted a genome-wide association meta-analysis of over 12,000 individuals for 184 neuro-related proteins in human plasma. The analysis identified 125 cis-regulatory protein quantitative trait loci (cis-pQTL) and […]
