Ruggiero Santeramo

I earned my PhD in Data Science from WMG, University of Warwick, in 2024. My doctoral research focused on computer vision, deep learning, and imitation learning, initially developing advanced computer vision algorithms to train robotic and humanoid agents for continuous control tasks. In the later years of my PhD, I transitioned into medical imaging, applying computer vision techniques to analyze chest X-rays and mammograms for healthcare applications.

From January 2023 to July 2024, I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Queen Mary University of London, where I worked on breast cancer detection and risk prediction. My work involved processing large-scale X-ray mammography data and developing AI algorithms to predict three-year prior risk factors for breast cancer.

In August 2024, I joined Human Technopolis as a Machine Learning Specialist in the Jug Group at the Computational Biology Research Center. Since January 2025, I have also held a visiting position at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health, Queen Mary University of London, within the Centre for Cancer Screening, Prevention, and Early Diagnosis.
