Call for Sponsorship No.11 - EMBO Workshop: From Molecules to Organisms: An Integrative View of Cell Biology

Submission Deadline: 15/01/2025

Type of event/activity: EMBO Workshop - From Molecules to Organisms: An Integrative View of Cell Biology

Description/Purpose:

Human Technopole (HT) is looking for sponsors to contribute to the EMBO Workshop: From Molecules to Organisms: An Integrative View of Cell Biology that will take place in Radstadt (Austria) from March 15th to March 21st, 2025, with the support of the European Molecular Biology Organisation (EMBO). EMBO is an organisation of more than 2,000 leading researchers that promotes excellence in the life sciences in Europe and beyond. One of the organisation’s missions is to fund courses and workshops that can significantly contribute to maintaining high standards of excellence in research practice.

This EMBO Workshop, organised by Sharon Tooze, Principal Group Leader at The Francis Crick Institute and Marino Zerial, Director of Human Technopole, follows the enthusiastic response to the first conference organised in 2017. It addresses the need to revisit the structural and functional organisation of cells by focusing on new concepts in membrane trafficking and integrating membrane biology at tissue and organism scales. The workshop aims to provide an integrative and multi-scale perspective on molecular mechanisms in pathophysiology, bridging fields such as physics, metabolism, and tissue development.

The workshop will feature talks, poster sessions, and networking activities. Based on sponsor interest, we might also incorporate a “Tech & Drug development” session, allowing sponsors to showcase their developments and connect with researchers in the field.
