Craig Glastonbury

Dr Craig A. Glastonbury holds a PhD in computational biology from King’s College London (2013-2017). Before joining Human Technopole as a Research Group leader (06/2022), Craig was a lead machine learning researcher at the drug discovery company, BenevolentAI (2019-2022) and a Postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Oxford (2017-2019).

Craig’s research has focused on multiple aspects of computational biology, with a key focus on histopathology imaging and human genetics. This includes RNA-seq, single-cell RNA-seq, histopathology, GWAS and machine learning method development. The Glastonbury Group at Human Technopole aims to combine these expertise, by studying how genetic variation influences quantifiable phenotypes extract from a whole range of biomedical imaging modalities. Craig continues to serve as an academic consultant to BenevolentAI and is also a guest associate editor for ML at AHA Circulation.
