4-Day Full Immersion Training on Technology Transfer in the Life Sciences

Target Audience: The course is open to up to 20 scientists, inventors, early-career TTOs & KTOs from Italian or foreign universities or research institutes (if they hold Italian nationality). Mandatory field: life sciences.
The HT Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer, Netval (Network for Research Valorisation), and IUSS Pavia (University School for Advanced Studies) are launching the 2024 edition of the Full Immersion Training on Technology Transfer in the Life Sciences. This training course is designed to provide participants with essential tools to understand the dynamics behind research valorisation, with insights from leading experts in the field.
Objectives:
This training course aims to:
- Provide a comprehensive understanding of the valorisation of research results, innovation, and technology transfer processes in the life sciences
- Evolve and update the roles and practices of the different actors involved in the innovation chain
- Develop new skills to foster collaborative dynamics

- From IP Protection and Valorisation to Business Case

Learning outcomes:
- Grasp how public research organisations drive innovation and fulfill their “third mission” beyond education and research
- Comprehend the different stages of a technology transfer project, from initial idea to market implementation
- Discover strategies for IP protection and valorisation through licensing and business creation
- Network with colleagues and experts to enhance collaborative opportunities and knowledge sharing
- Explore various career pathways
- Gain hands-on experience
