HT Campus

Human Technopole is at the heart of MIND – Milan Innovation District, the city’s innovation district located on the site that hosted EXPO Milano 2015 bringing together public and private partners active in the fields of science, research and innovation.

The Human Technopole campus is made up of five main buildings, covering a surface of roughly 20,000 square metres. We are right next to the Tree of Life and across from the area dedicated to the University of Milan campus.

Palazzo Italia, the former Italian pavilion at EXPO Milano 2015 is our institutional headquarters hosting our governance and administrative offices, meeting rooms as well as dry/computational labs. The building also includes a 240 seat Auditorium, a cafè and restaurant space and two terraces.

The three incubator labs are our among our main laboratory buildings, hosting wet scientists and experimental activities from our five research areas as well as our National Facility for Genomics and extension of the National Facility for Structural Biology. The North Pavilion is home to our state-of-the art Cryo-Electron Microscopy Unit and National Facility for Light Imaging, while the South Pavilion hosts additional wet laboratory spaces for our National Facility for Genome Engineering & Disease Modelling and for the expansion of our research activity.

In addition, by 2028 our campus will be completed by an additional building – the South Building, which will host laboratory space for up to 800 scientists, alongside offices, spaces for events, workshops and training courses.
