HT PhD Student & Postdoc Symposium 2025: “Research in Motion”
After the success of its inaugural edition (view pictures – video), which gathered over 100 participants, the HT PhD Student & Postdoc Symposium returns for its second year on 30 September 2025.
The Symposium is a cornerstone institutional event and a platform for HT PhD students and postdocs to present their research, gain feedback, and engage with peers and senior scientists. With over 150 early-career researchers working across diverse fields, the event offers a snapshot of the vibrant scientific activity at Human Technopole.
Under the theme “Research in Motion: Dynamics in Time, Space, and Technology,” this year’s edition reflects the ever-evolving nature of HT’s research across disciplines. The programme will include scientific talks, interactive Q&A sessions, two poster sessions, and a highly anticipated Keynote Lecture by Prof. Sir David Klenerman, co-developer of next-generation DNA sequencing technology and recipient of the 2020 Millennium Technology Prize.
This year’s theme explores three central axes of dynamic scientific progress:
- Time: Change over time is a core principle of biology and a fundamental aspect of much of the research happening at HT.
- Space: Biology is dynamic in nature – proteins, complexes, and cellular structures are constantly moving, adapting and changing within their environment.
- Technology: New technologies are a driving force behind research advancement in the life sciences, from the development of new lab equipment to advancements in technologies like microscopy to new applications of artificial intelligence.

Advancing Precision Immunotherapy for Paediatric Leukaemia with Alice Giustacchini and her Group
Meet Alice Giustacchini, Research Group Leader in Population and Medical Genomics. Her project, titled “Tailoring Precision Immunotherapy to Paediatric Acute Myeloid Leukaemia,” aims to study the cellular and molecular dynamics of CAR-T cell therapy in blood cancers.

The new call for Access to the National Facilities services is now open! The Human Technopole’s National Facilities continue to expand their support for cutting-edge research by launching the first Call for Access of 2025. Building on the success of the 24-PILOT call, to which over 120 projects have applied, this new opportunity allows researchers to benefit from state-of-the-art technologies and expertise.
