Corriere Innovazione on HT antiCOVID19 projects
Milan, 9 April – Corriere Innovazione, the national insert of Corriere della Sera on innovation has dedicated a large article to the projects carried out by our scientists to contribute to the fight against Covid19. The full article is available here: https://bit.ly/3c1Qtlt
In the article there is the description of Data against COVID realized – together with other international scientists – by Florian Jug, Group Leader of the Centre of Computational Biology and Head of the Image Analysis facility in order to make available data science competences to medical staff working in the hospitals.
The article talks about the project “COVIDIamo” by Giuseppe Testa, Head of the Centre for Neurogenomics and aimed at understanding what goes wrong in diseased tissues by analyzing cellular functions. These studies could contribute to the use of existing drugs to treat the virus. The project is carried out in collaboration with the Milan University (UniMi), Sacco Hospital and IEO.

First Marie Curie Fellowships for Human Technopole
Two Human Technopole researchers have been awarded the Marie Curie postdoctoral fellowship, one of the most prestigious fellowships for early career researchers: Dr. Carlos Jiménez and Dr. Albert Navarro Gallinad. Dr. Navarro Gallinad’s research project, presented today on National Women’s Health Day, will investigate the environmental risks faced by pregnant women by analysing almost 1,000,000 births in Lombardy over the last twelve years. Dr. Jiménez will study how the spatial arrangement of nuclear proteins contributes to optimal cell functioning.
