Research and Design Converge in Milan

Milan also means research, and this year Human Technopole is taking part in the city’s promotional campaign for the Milan Design Week, which will take place from 15 to 21 April 2024.

The campaign “Milano Home of Design” is a narrative of the city composed of 5 photographic shots: collective portraits with scenes of everyday life unfolding naturally in symbolic settings of Milan, involving 45 researchers, designers, architects, chefs, art curators, and students. Among them, our Fernanda Pinheiro, Group Leader of Computational Biology, participated in the venue “This is where I improvise” at the Gio Ponti’s “Trifoglio” building.

The goal of the campaign, created by the photographer Valerio Nico, is to make the visitors of the Milan Design Week feel at home, welcomed by a city that presents itself with a collective identity composed by those who research, live, work, create, study, and administer. Design, indeed, is a powerful way of storytelling and promoting Milan as a destination not only for travel but also for a conference, a study or work experience, or the start of a business.
