Philipp Erdmann è un biologo chimico e microscopista. Dopo cinque anni in qualità di Group Leader presso il Max Plank Institute for Biochemistry di Martinsried in Germania è entrato a a far parte di HT nel febbraio 2021.
ll suo laboratorio si concentra sull’analisi degli effetti della separazione di fase liquido-liquido (LLPS) utilizzando la tomografia crioelettronica. LLPS è spesso coinvolta in processi cruciali di malattie trasmissibili e non trasmissibili, comprese le infezioni virali e le malattie neurodegenerative.
