The Consiglio di Sorveglianza of the Human Technopole Foundation has approved the implementation of five National Facilities, intended as infrastructural facilities with a high technological impact, available to the national research community.
As prescribed by the Convenzione stipulated pursuant to Law 160/2019, the approval follows a two-stage public consultation process: the first stage involved representatives of universities, research hospitals, public research organisations, industry, regions, social partners and third sector bodies conducting or funding research in the life sciences. The results collected during the first phase were then shared with the Italian scientific community to collect their comments and opinions.
The National Facilities identified are as follows:
- National Facility for Genomics
- National Facility for Genome Engineering
- National Facility for Structural Biology
- National Facility for Light Imaging
- National Facility for Data Handling & Analysis
The preparation of the call for the expression of interest is currently underway to collect applications from highly qualified scientists, with no affiliation or existing assignments with the HT Foundation, universities, Italian research hospitals and public research bodies, interested in joining the Standing Independent Evaluation Committee (Commissione Indipendente di Valutazione Permanente – CIVP) in charge of evaluating the requests to access to the National Facilities.
