Human Technopole Commitment to Gender Equality

Human Technopole is proud to announce the launch of its new Gender Equality Plan (GEP) for 2025-2027, a strategic initiative designed to further integrate gender equality across all aspects of the Institute, building upon the successful outcomes of the previous GEP (2022-2024). HT has also achieved the UNI/PdR 125:2022 certification, which recognizes organizations that promote gender equality and foster inclusive workplaces.

HT’s mission is to improve human life and technology through cutting-edge basic research in the life sciences. With this new GEP, HT strengthens its commitment to creating a gender-inclusive environment, recognizing the importance of integrating gender perspectives in scientific research, training, and public health policies. By promoting gender equality, HT aims to foster an organizational culture of transparency, collaboration, and excellence.

The plan identifies six key objectives: raising awareness of gender equality and diversity, supporting work-life balance, ensuring gender balance in recruitment, mainstreaming gender in research, addressing gender-based violence, and improving communication of GEP actions.

The GEP is aligned with the European Union’s commitment to gender equality, a fundamental value enshrined in its foundational documents. It adheres to the EU’s strategic priorities and the European Institute for Gender Equality’s (EIGE) guidelines. This plan is part of HT’s broader efforts to contribute to a more inclusive and diverse research environment, ensuring fairness and equality in all its activities.
